One of the things you should check in your Form 26AS is the information related to income-tax payments such as advance tax and self-assessment tax paid.
1. Information regarding Tax Deducted at Source for all income and Tax Collected at Source wherever applicable.
2. Information related to specified financial transactions from ‘specified persons’, mutual funds, banks, bond issuers etc.
3. Information related to income-tax payments such as advance tax and self-assessment tax paid by the taxpayer.
